Please support SIGBI’s mission to bring critically needed educational and financial assistance to grassroots organizations providing advocacy, guidance, and shelter to LGBTQ youth in mostly rural and underserved communities throughout the United States and abroad. Meanwhile, night clubs catering to niche crowds in the LGBT community in Baltimore continue to thrive. Brooklyn Brewery will be contributing a portion of the proceeds to the official charitable giving organization of the Stonewall Inn, The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative (SIGBI). In 2019 The Stonewall Inn celebrated the 50th anniversary of the historic Stonewall Uprising and welcomed World Pride to NYC.
In 2021, our partnership will grow beyond the United States and we’ll be pouring SWIIPA to support The Stonewall Inn Gives Back initiative and queer communities around the world. This is a beer for everyone, no exceptions. Gay sports bars are relatively unusual, but it is not unusual for gay bars to sponsor teams in local sports/game leagues, and many otherwise traditional gay pubs are well known for. Hired dancers (called go-go girls or go-go boys) may also feature in decorative cages or on podiums. With unabashed notes of citrus peel and grapefruit, this unapologetic and refreshing IPA reminds us of where we’ve been and celebrates where we’re going. In New York City, the modern gay bar dates to Julius Bar. Prior to the Stonewall troubles of 1969, a sip-in was organized at Julius by participants of the Mattachine Society to protest oppression to gays (in the late ’60s, gays were refuted solution at bars on the assumption that they were disorderly). The Stonewall Inn IPA is a fearless IPA for all. Another trendy gay bar NYC with a lot of history is Julius NY. The high-energy dance music draws a mixed, flirty crowd.
